About

I've been performing in and around the NY Metropolitan area for over 25 years. My experiences include percussionist for the NJ State Orchestra while still in high school, an appearance in the '76 Vermont Jazz Festival, gigs with singer Jeanie Bryson, flugelhornist Gordon James, fusion band Moments Notice, the NY band Duck Soup, worldbeat band the Navigators, Jeremy Wall of Spiro Gyra, Afro Cuban band Giovani & Sunrise; among others. I've shared the stage in opening acts for Tower of Power, Special EFX, and Grover Washington Jr. My main gig, however, has been for the past 15 years until recently, Line Drive. We are currently retooling and plan to start back up as an instrumental band. I'm currently freelancing and working with the Jose Loo Band.

My main influence is without a doubt Steve Gadd......not so much for his amazing technique, though he certainly has that, but for his ability to play THE SONG! He never, ever, plays wasted notes.....more notes than the song requires. He has an aalmost uncanny ability to sound completely authentic in every style of music he plays. To me, he IS the man!
